Paper Submission
The paper preparation and submission process follows standard IEEE practice according to the IEEE publication services and products board operations Manual 2025. The following general protocols apply:
- Template: Papers must be prepared using the IEEE PES conference paper template.
- Page limit: Maximum of 5 pages, including text, footnotes, figures, tables, references, and appendices.
- Language: English
- File format: Single PDF file (max. 10 MB)
- Review: Single-blind peer review based on relevance, originality, quality of technical content, organization, and writing style.
- Publication: Papers must be presented at the conference to be included in the proceedings and archived in IEEE Xplore. eCopyright transfer is required.
IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including IEEE Xplore® Digital Library, if the paper does not meet IEEE standards for scope and/or quality, as well if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.
How to submit a paper:
- Microsoft CMT (*) is used for paper submissions.
- Authors must have a CMT account before submitting a paper. Create a CMT account here:
https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/User/Register - After logging in, authors can submit their paper directly at:
https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICHQP2026/Submission/Index
(*) The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
Additional recommendations:
- Authors must follow IEEE style guidelines and policies.
- Submitted papers must be original, unpublished work within the scope of the conference.
- Papers must be clear and comprehensible. Authors may use AI tools for editing and grammar enhancement.
- The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in an article (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section.
- Financial support of the work being reported and of the authors should be clearly acknowledged in the article, as well as any potential conflict of interest.
- Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. All papers will undergo plagiarism detection prior to review. Any paper found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected, and IEEE will be notified of the misconduct.
Camera-Ready Submission
1. Prepare the Final Paper
Please carefully revise your manuscript according to the reviewers‘ comments and strictly follow the IEEE conference paper template (A4 page size). The page limit is 5 pages (including references) and is strict.
Add the copyright notice at the bottom of the first page as follows:
- For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright
- For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, Australia): 979-8-3315-8170-1/26/$31.00 ©2026 Crown
- For papers in which all authors are employed by the European Union: 979-8-3315-8170-1/26/$31.00 ©2026 European Union
- For all other papers: 979-8-3315-8170-1/26/$31.00 ©2026 IEEE
2. IEEE PDF eXpress
Authors must generate an IEEE Xplore-compliant PDF using IEEE PDF eXpress at https://ieee-pdf-express.org/ (Conference ID: 67927X).
3. Author Registration
Each paper must have a valid full registration. Up to two (2) papers can be linked to one full registration, and the registrant must be an author on each paper. Student registrations are valid for paper publication but are limited to one (1) paper per registration.
4. Final Paper Submission
Upload the final paper via Microsoft CMT using the „proceedings author“ role. During submission, transfer the copyright via the IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF) — the link to the eCF will be available directly in CMT.
Important: Only upload the PDF that was generated or validated by IEEE PDF eXpress — do not upload your original source PDF directly.
Transactions Paper Presentations
ICHQP 2026 also offers authors of papers already published in IEEE PES journals and transactions the opportunity to present their work at the conference, provided that:
- the topic is Power Quality, and
- the paper was published between January 2024 and April 2026.
Authors interested in this option must submit the application form to info@ichqp2026.org by April 30, 2026. Notification of acceptance will be sent no later than June 1, 2026.
Application form: ICHQP2026_JournalPaper_Form.docx.
Please note that there is only a limited number of presentation slots available, and regular registration to the conference is required.
