Conference

The history of the IEEE International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power (ICHQP) can be traced back to 1984, when the IEEE International Conference on Harmonics in Power Systems (ICHPS) was established to facilitate the exchange of ideas amongst researchers working on power system harmonics. The conference series was renamed in 1996 as the IEEE ICHQP when its scope was expanded to include all aspects of power quality. 

Since its foundation, the conference has been held once every two years at locations traversing the globe, providing a truly international forum and fostering the development of the power quality community. The full list of past editions is available

Topics

The conference covers all network disturbance phenomena including lower-frequency distortion (harmonics, interharmonics, subharmonics), higher-frequency distortion (supraharmonics), flicker, unbalance, slow voltage variations, rapid voltage changes, volt-age sags, voltage swells, notching and transients. Classical as well as modern technologies, like e-mobility, inverter-based generation, battery storage systems, FACTS, HVDC converters and heat pumps are addressed.
